Your bedroom is your sanctuary. The problem with most bedrooms nowadays is the lack of space! Well, sometimes we can’t help it, we just naturally own a lot of stuff. Home is where the heart is and to be able to fully experience your home, you have to take care of it all throughout your journey. The problem with most people is that they only take care of their homes in the beginning and as time passes by, they leave their place messy and cluttered.

Here’s a few different ways to maximize your bedroom space:

1. Shelves on wall perimeters
Ever thought of installing shelves around the upper perimeters of your walls? Why not! Although you might need a ladder to reach them, at least you’ll be able to put a couple of your books away without having to clutter the entire room. This is a great way to store those books you don’t really use but are way too precious to be given away.

2. Headboard with storage
A huge mistake most people make is having a headboard that doesn’t have room inside. Either a chest like headboard or a drawer installed at the sides, this would be great for some extra space. There are so many things you could keep inside to avoid having to clutter all around you.

3. Corner Clothes rack under a shelf
Imagine a shelf that is also a clothes rack installed at the corner, this is a great way to keep all your extra clothes, shoes, and maybe hang your accessories on the shelf! The great thing about this is that even though you get to see your clothes out, it is still pleasing to the eye because of the shelf above. If you find it quite of a nuisance, feel free to install some mini curtains around your clothes!

4. Dirty clothes hamper at the back of your door
You know that one space filled with all your dirty clothes? Yup, that has got to go. What a waste of space! Well, the best thing to do to get rid of this nuisance is to hang your dirty clothes hamper at the back of your door. That way, even you are aware on how much dirty clothes should be going to the laundry.

5. Jewelry cork board
Frame a cork board and hang your jewelry on them. This does not only make for a great way to save space. It also saves time when you are picking which jewelry to wear.

Your bedroom shouldn’t be cluttered at all. After all, it is the place where you are suppose to rest and regenerate most of your strength.
